Saint Sozomenos Chapel

The location where the church of Agios Sozomenos was previously built was not suitable for building the new church and so it was decided to build it on the site where it is now, close to the site of Agia Petra.

It is said that Saint Sozomenos was famous for his miraculous ability to heal babies. Between Agia Petra and the old church of Agios Sozomenos, there was an Agiasma (Holy Water) where the babies were bathed and by the time they returned home, they were healed.
